warm kiln

It took a while to get some of these in the kiln but it finally happened. The fire could have been reduced a bit more. A nice cone 10 though. These are mostly shino's in this fire with a few blue cups which are not shown. The small pots in front are made from recycled trimmings. They make a nice combo, the white clay giving the consistency and the red and black giving some wonderful characteristics.

These are a series of cups I am making for an old friend. Not that he is old but he has known me for some time.
I took a bunch of recycled clay which was a mix of b-mix and some red clay. It really makes a nice working clay.
A few properties from the B-mix and some from the rich iron from the red. next I plan to glaze these with a Shino.
Not sure what yet but since I have many of these I have several options.
